My '95 pearl white max was just hit while parked. The front end is well damaged. Radiotor is bent, right headlight gone, hood crushed, both front fenders are good except for left side bent on inside and out, bumber all messed up, all other lights still function, needs new a/c cond. and hood latch assembly. My insurance doesn't cover the $5300 bill. I am buying my mom's 3rd gen, but I would like to know what you guys think about parting out or seeling as is. The engine has 155k with some performance mods. Runs awesome. I'd like to get $1000 somehow. Input please

i think if you part EVERYTHING you'll get around $1,000 just like you would selling it. so you might was well part it ALL out and make some people happy on the way. then sell the rest of the body metal scraps to a junk yard for a few hundred bucks

True, but where is it stored? It's a real eyesore to have a junk vehicle in a residential area. I'd say get rid of it ASAP, I haven't a clue for how much. I mean for an intact 98 SE, it may be worth 8 grand used or 25 grand parted-out. You can't expect to get that 25 grand unless you're in the auto business and can consistently rip people off on a daily basis.

You can easily fix it. If it didn't get any close to movin the frame too much you are fine. You can get it pulled if it is really bent but I dought it. FIX IT

 

Did the airbags blow? Do they go off when the car is not running? Those bags alone would be worth $1000. My passenger side airbag was stolen and the insurance comp me $850 for that item alone.

if you part it out I would be intrested in: the O2 sensors, the knock sensor, and the thing the front turn signal bulb go's in on the bumper. (just one mine got jacked)

 

If you part I would be interested in the dash. Only if you are speaking the truth when you say black. As in not charcoal. I would like the dash, steering wheel, center console and airbag covers. Basically all dash black pieces to replace the **** brown dash on the tan interior. I don't know how much or shipping, but if you part I'm in for reasonable $$$.

you should easily get $1000 "as is" and save the trouble of parting it out. Now you can go through the trouble and probably get a good chunk more than $1000, but it will take a longer time to get rid of everything.
