Slow clutch

I noticed something wierd this morning. Today it finally hit like around 18 degrees in the morning and it was cold! The car struggled a little to start, as usuall in this cold. But when I drove the car, the clutch seemed a little slow. It was grabbing fine but it seemed like the clutch wouldnt release right away (clutch out), it was sorta slow like mollasess....very sticky. I never owned a car with a hydraulic clutch so I cant tell if its normal. I think its just that the clutch fluid was a little thick since it was really cold.

BTW...the clutch was fine after a few minutes of driving, it was just when I first started driving when everything was still cold. Do you guys think this is a problem?

mine doesn't engage all the way when its cold. If I'm in 4th or 5th @ 3k and punch the accel, it'll rev, then slowly engage and start picking up speed. I was told something about the diaphragm being sticky, or something like that.

PHEW! Thank god I'm not the only one...for a minute here I thought I would need a new clutch or master/slave cylinders. Any remedies for this or is it something I have to live with?

I've noticed the same thing on every hydraulic-clutch car I've owned.

I wonder if synthetics would help? They have that cheap Valvoline sythetic hydraulic fluid at all the autostores.

If I ever need to flush and change the fluid I'd try it though.
