I'm pretty sure 95-96 and 97-99 are slightly different sizes on the trunk part. The outside lights would fit, but you'd need to convert to a 97-99 trunk to make the inside ones fit.

you will need to get a trunk from a 97-99 to make the inside fit, the out side are a direct fit.

it would be easier to replace the trunk lid seeing as the 95-96 trunk lid has a body line that matches up with the same style line on the 95-96 taillights. 'Molding' 97-99 taillights into a 95-96 trunklid =

yea, if you change the lid, its easier than full on body work, and bondo

good choice on the red clears...instead of going down the altezza path

I'm interested in doing this but I don't think it would be worth the money.

J_Spec: yeah, I'm pretty sure the 97-99 lid is a direct fit on a 95-96, just get the lid and obviously the taillights and you're set.

yes 97-99 trunk lid fits perfectly fine onto a 95-96 maxima. Please check the 4th Gen Forum's FAQs
