I wasn't telling you what to do with your car. I was stating that if you wanted a certain look, you probably could've done it yourself instead of spending the money on it. It's yor car, you can do what you like with it. Is it my fault for wanting to help you out? I wasn't trying to offend you.

pierce the tails are only gonna be as dark as you make em. there is two ways to do this. come to find out i did it blueBOB's way. You basically go through the process of doing red/clears, but its MUCH easier, simply because you dont have to make an insert! You just paint the inside of the housing, and slap the tail back together, with NO LENS insert inside! with the black as dark as it is, you cant see the bulbs inside the tails at all except when it blinks. I have amber bulbs in mine, and when it blinks it looks great. If you arent looking for a look as dark as this, you can either use a lighter color, Maybe a gray, or you can TINT your actual red/clear lens piece, either with a film tint, or paint. I chose the first option b.c i have a black maxima, and now my tails perfectly match my car. I have gotten complements from ppl who didnt even know my car was a maxima

exactly my point! then you don't have to make your own lenses, AND the lenses will match better. I want them to bright so im not going to tint the lens itself. Dark color grey would probably do the trick. with a black car, i really want a darker lens, but i want them to look better than home mades.

Dude, he was just sayin that you could have done the DTM mod to your stock tails... in other words, you didn't have to buy red/clears to do it... that's all... nothin insulting, not tryin to tell you what to do...
