Removing driver's side fender

I recently had a minor accident and now have some dents on the driver's side fender on my 95 Max. I want to take it off and try to massage the dents away, or replace it. Anyone done this before? Do I have to remove the front bumper also? Any input would be appreciated.

You dont have to remove the bumper. Theres just 2-3 nuts that attach it to the bumper. Once you remove all the other bolts you can pull the fender towards you without too much pressure and you should be able to take the nuts off easily.

Damn, I just had a similar accident tonight. Altima in left lane decided to change into right lane as I was moving up beside it. Can turn left OK, but only partial right, and can't get the driver's door open. Hood and bumper are OK, but corner light is broken. Will find out tomorrow what the damage is...

Thanks for the input guys. Damm, I forgot to look in my Haynes manual (thanks mrglynis) and it says I don't have to remove my bumper, but I'll keep in mind what you posted 4GRookie. ohannon7, I am going to try and get the dents out by using a rounded piece of wood and applying pressure to the inside of the fender in a circular motion on the dents. A friend of mine told me that this works pretty well. I don't know, but it's worth a try! Gonna try it this weekend, I'll post results.
