Installing dash kit

Just got one of those do it yourself dash kits and wanted to know if anyone here has ever done it themselves.Directions seam pretty easy, just clean the dash and then peal the 3M stuff off and stick em on.It also says that if they go on a certain spot that curves to use the adhesive promoter and to use a hairdryer to heat the peace so it bends.Just wanted to know if i need to use the adhesive stuff or whatever thx.

nope. just make sure you clean the surface really well. you don't want to tape your new dash kit over dirty dust. if you don't clean the surface, your dash kit will fall off like my friend's accord.

good luck.

i did my kit over a year ago and it's still on there. I used the promoter. just run it over the area the piece is going on. most importantly, make sure the dash and the piece are warm! doing it cold is a bad idea.
