Help Clutch Problem

I had a few questions for you Maxima guys.
1. I think I need a new clutch becuase when the pedal is to the floor it makes a slight grinding noise, and I think thats because it wont fully disengage due to the fact my friction disc is wearing thin, my question is how can u tell if your clutch is going, what kind of sounds should I look for.

2. I'm going to have a shop install any california Maxima owners know of a good shop?

3. I bought a clutch kit off of someone here and upon physically inspecting it, It seems a little more used then expected does anyone have a thickness messurement that you can give me for use with an outside micromiter (sp?) or a ruler. Or if you have a high quaility picture of a clutch (from the middle to the edge) that would also be greatly appricated.

Thank you in advance for you help, and I know what you guys are thinking but right now the search is down and it's an emergency.

the clutch will still be able disengage even when the disc is wearing out. Grinding noise could also be a bad throwout bearing too. sorry cant help with the measurement specs.

so at this point do you belive it is driveable for another 2 weeks. The delemia is that I wanted to buy a flywheels so that i can do both at the same time which would be cheaper and make things easy. So at this point you are infering that even though its wearing out as long as its not slipping a lot i dont have a huge problem. Also throwout bearing is a good idea i over looked those do tend to make noise thanks for your timely input.

you shouldn't have problems driving it if you take it easy. Worse case scenerio is that if infact the disc is worn out, the rivets that hold the friction material will scar the flywheel face but since your getting a new flywheel anyways you shouldn't have much to worry about. Yes, get a new throwout bearing when you install.

Are you going to buy a Fidanza from Jeff92se? I'd highly recommend it.
Also I'd just replace it using a brand new clutch (not a Key Value unit), It will make your life much easier.

Normally when the clutch is wearing out, it will start slipping. That's when the clutch is engaged and you step on the gas, but the rpms shoot up very rapidly, but your speed doesnt increase at the same rate (if that makes sense).
