Aftermarket Exhaust...

Hi gents...

Looking for opinions here... What exhaust system (cat-back etc) should I put on my 99 SE so it will sound like the 350Z?

Admittedly they have different engines.. That 350Z DVD of ripping through prague sounds awesome.. I've wanted to make this change to the SE, as long as It doesn't get annoying...

I used to drive a scirocco 16v with a dynomax turbo muffler... after 4 yrs I was ready for a little quiet..

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Hey, I have not heard a 350Z exhaust but here is my setup...PR CAI, Stillen Y, Polished Test Pipe, Greddy SP Cat-Back. Don't know if this is what you are looking for.

The Z exhaust doesn't really sound that good. I swear it sounds like a mellow civic with a fart can without the bees sound. Very 4 cylinder like at low speeds...

I think the Greddy has a very very nice sound to it. I'm in the market to get an Sp2 this spring, nice and deep growl. I hate that damn fart can muffler sound.

I totally agree, there are so many crap civics and accords neons around this town it makes me sick. I think I am the only one representing maximas in this town. But yeah, I wanna hear that new SP2 exhaust when it comes out.

Apexi Ws Exhaust has a great sound to it, inside and outside. I recommend it to anybody.
The only thing that the apexi ws lacks is a great sound after a performance y-pipe is added. I had my WS installed a couple of days before I installed my y, it sounded awesome by itself. When I added the budget, the exhaust gave off a farty sound. Not too much to notice when just daily driving but is really noticable when in WOT.
I'm thinking about going greddy after I get my ECU back from JWT.

I have Budget Y & B pipes and stock muffler which sounds great. Almost unnoticeable up to 3k but if you get on it exhibits a mean growl, very pleasing and not annoying at all.

mm347, sounds interesting, and for easy money too. I don't suppose you have a wav file of it?

Speaking of which, feel free to add in any CF parts you make on maxmods. Why not, free advertising.

Dude I completly feel you..I live in Madison, Indiana. Its like a 15-16k city, everything here is Mustang and Civic, swear to god. Im the only one it seems with a good Max, and they make fun of me (one gay car club) because of the Sedan look? Sad part is they all get blown 2-3 lengths (cept those fuking 'stang gts?) But Im stock right now, just got the Max 3 months ago. High school + my job isnt gonna get **** done too quick, im hoping to buy a good exhaust for myself for xmas.

Its hilarious because when I confronted them, my exact words were "How many off you *******s have leather INT. with a kick *** system and a great engine? How many of you *******s have a non-fuxored paint job with a different color body kit?" They were all dumbstruck...I hate hicks...
