Dam thats some low miles. I had to settle with the first SE 5-speed I found. I couldn't be picky on miles. Just turned 107K. Nick

When I bought my 1995 on May 31, 2002 it had just over 60,000 miles on it. Now it has 96,000 miles on it.

Do you have another car, or do you just walk everywhere? Or are you one of those people that takes the bus and begs others for a ride, and pretend that you do not have a car? Just curious.

WTF? I would be afraid of hoses and other things rotting out and not being well lubricated.

No I don't have a used motor nor the milage programer if you look at my car, lift it up it looks pretty freaken new. No rust anywhere engine is still shinny no cv boots ripped nothing. The only thing replaced was brakes, rotors, and thermostat.

95 gle 54,000 Everything runs perfect

I think that the old lady with the 96 and 12k on it is lower... and 2 years older at that. You just need to get out more.

I bought my car on august 13th 2003. 1st owner used to work 2 miles away from where he lived. so all he did was start the car, go to work, come back 8-10 hours later untill he sold it to me. now all i do is turn on the car, drive 5 miles to school and 5 miles back. i drive about 700 miles a month. when i bought the car it had 23,950 miles and now its got 26,400.

and NO, i dont do any of the stuff u listed above lol

Nah it's not jealousy... cars that go on such short trips for such a large period of time generally might not be in as good a shape as a car that maybe has 100,000 miles more, but was on generally longer trips. My car was on relatively shorter trips with the previous owner and even though my compression is great and track times have been awesome, I do have this nagging oil burning problem which is undoubtedly because of the short trips and the easy driving for the first part of the car's life. The best way to break it in (after the first 500 miles or so) is to beat the crap out of it. Short trips do not let you do that - cold start, 2 mile drive, stop - repeatedly cannot be good for the motor in the long run.

That's all in my opinion of course.

somewhat true, but i always let my car warm up 1st and then drive it. trust me, 5 full minutes is enough to warm the engine up in the morning. if the temperature gauage isnt at half way, then my car isnt going to move !

and there is no need to be jeleous at all. if anyone here is supposed to be jeleous then it would be me cuz i paid **** loads for this car!!! double of what most guys here pay these days and im still riding the same car. just lower miles!

Excessive idling is bad too... especially if it is cold outside... but even if it isn't, the best way to warm up the car is to drive it mildly - no idling. Just a tip for you.

a little over 32k on a 96 auto

only had the car since may, but I also drive less than 10 miles a day round trip to school, so that helps...

wow, now i didnt know that one. it usually takes 4 minutes for the needle to reach the 1/4 way in the morning. so i give it another minute to fully warm up and reach half way. i thought i was doin it right
