IMO the purples are very unique...people would notice your car from a very long distance. Plus many people have white and blue lights. Be different...

I have 6500k purple and they are nice. I've seen Ange's (97MaxGurl) white hid's, and those look a lot better than mine. Also, her white seems to light up the road a lot better too. She has 8000k ( www.redlinemax.com ) and is using an h4 housing like me.

The white HIDs will light up the road better because they are white.
I love mine. I asked one of my friend to drive my car, and from far away they look purple from far and as they come close to you they look white.
Pics can be found on my homepage

I would get white hid's only because I like the cleaner look on my car....also i rather not get any lights that would attract cops and if i were to spend and extra $300 or 400 on my lights, i would get the ones that gave the best lighting.....

i have 4100k installed in my car. bright a$$ white. as bright as u can get. remember, higher the kelvin, the less bright it'll be and the more color u'll receive.

4100k - white
6000k - blue
10000k - purple

6000k is pretty much OEM for most cars. (MB, BMW and Lexus)

www.misterjung.com is a great site with a better explaination. very noob friendly.

4100-4300k is OEM.. its projectors that make them look blue in the housing, but the actual light on the ground is white. Nissan, Acura, BMW, Audi etc... all use 4100-4300k.

purple is too "unique" in my opinion... diamond white would look sharp, and serve the most purpose anyway

The highest light output are the HIDs in the 4100K-4800K range. The higher in Kelvin you go the more of a color change you have in the purple/blue range. A higher Kelvin temp DOES NOT mean more light output. If you want to turn heads get the purple if you want the most for your money, get the 4300K kit. Philips has a 6000K Ultinon (slight purple in color) kit thats close to the lumen (light output) of their 4300K. I've been researching HIDs and the Philips 4300K and 4800K have the brightest lumen output out there and is what most OEM are going with.

I have the Hanabi "purple" kit, and I am very happy with it. It's not really purple as much as a tint of violet when it first fires up. Once they're warmed up, they look pretty close to white with a hint of violet. And very, very bright, in both good and bad weather.
