Something i never heard talked about

Well i had a bad wreck in the 1996 maxima w/90,000 on it on thanksgiving. I will give details but i will say wet road, oil and $5,000 power pole after some additional drama. But it was off to find another car and i put a post out about a 1998 SE w/50,000 and i ended up getting it. Has i have put before it had ever option offered other than leather and heated seats. I was completly taken off guard by how much better the 1998 drives. It is like a differant car. So i was just wondering if you think it was the miles or the age that did that last one in. This is thread sucks but thanks for reading (or atleast skiping to the last line)

...wow take a little time and phrase the post better.... Its probably the milage, as well as the 95 and 98 are slightly different...I would put my money on car condition though, each car is driven differently, and that affects the way they drive from that point onward

Extremely hard to understand what you are trying to say...I think that's English up there but

I think from what I understand up there is...the 98 will have a difference. I test drove a 96 or 97 Max with 70K on it and it left me less than impressed and I was pretty disappointed. Then I test drove a 99 and I was impressed again. Granted, it had lower mileage, approx 50K or so but the shift was excellent, the motor felt more responsive, the seats were even better. So yeah, there's a difference, I think the difference is anywhere after 97.

I traded a 99 Gxe 5 speed for a 1996 Se 5 speed. I like the extra goodies the Se has to offer (moonroof ,remote entry ,power seat and the sportier suspension). The 99 had 47k when I got rid of it ...The car was running fine, but due to the fact that a nice 96 Se as an option I went for it. Best part is that Im driving a nice car with no monthly payment. The mileage (143k now ) doesn t scare me, and I expect many miles left. Also, it s a lot cheaper to get an extra key for the 96 than the 99 (over $ 100 a key).

True, I'm driving an ES so it had (most) goodies, the ones it didn't have (leather and sunroof) I didn't want, though I could have accepted the sunroof. But did you not notice a difference in driving (engine) when you went to a 96?
