i'm gonna check for codes tomorrow after school when i get a chance. i should have done it sooner but have been busy and the weather is so bad i can't even work on the car.

i guess it first did it a few weeks back the first time...i was driving and it felt like i was experiencing fuel cut. i was accelerating and all of a sudden the car felt like i hit a wall for a second, then continued on. it didn't do it again for a few weeks until i was on the highway. it scared the crap out of me! felt like the fuel cut i described before. no cel but that doesn't mean anything.

i haven't changed done any major maintainence since i bought the car and that was 30k miles ago. i'm now at 106k so i'm thinking i really should check n change the spark plugs. i will be cleaning my throttle body when i get a chance, and i have a new 300zx fuel filter ready to be put it, just as i said, the weather hasn't given me the chance.

my car stalled once last weekend after i was making a turn and going about 10 mph. and tonight as i was leaving a grocery store, stalled again. it was strange though, i still had power steering and it didn't really seem like it stalled out, i didn't even feel it. then later as i got closer to my house, i was slowing down and about to stop cuz of ice and i was approaching my drive way and it stalled again, this time, a real feeling stall.

i will be checking codes tomorrow, but what do you think it could be? i'm hoping it's just the spark plugs but could it also be coil packs? i know there have been many threads on those so if that's what people think, i'll switch those, if i can figure out how?!? and test them. just kind of annoying and sad when your car is sick

i'v been having the same 'fuel cut' problems when accelerating uphill. ( racing home through VT )

I'm goen to try some chevron and Mobil's 94 oct gas next trip home, hopfully that clears everything up

Jepht20: b/c your stalling, you might have a problem w/ one of the sensors, let us know once you check the codes.

btw, i replaced the engine coolant temp sensor last year so i doubt that would fail again.

i would start from some basic cleaning. get a K&N recharger kit and clean your air filters, clean the throttle body. check spark plugs like you said, i say probably replace them.

after that i would clean the knock sensor. (KS is like #1 problem know to 4th gen). check all fluids. start running synthetic oil 5w/30 if you aren't, and accompany with nissan OEM oil filter.

lastly, tighten your throttle cable (yea yea whatever rice mod blahblah...works for me)
