My passenger side foglight is cracked! Need help!

Oh man. Bad news. I searched, but it wont let me till I pay the green. My passenger side foglight is cracked. It started as a small hairline crack, and now it has spread to many hairline cracks. I just noticed condensation in the foglight this morning also. I know there's some bondo stuff I can use to patch up the crack, but I dont know what it is. Also, anyone know how long the warranty is for JR Nissan Foglights? I bought the foglights from JR Nissan (the $187 special). Thanks for the help.

I dont think theres anything you can do about a crack, but that bondo stuff your talking about is only for chips, and it doesnt hide it, just prevents it from getting bigger. You'll probably just need to get a new foglight housing or used. I dont think there are any warrantys

I want at least the condensation to stop. Im affraid to turn on my foglights now in fear of it blowing or something. I just need something to patch it up to stop the condensation until I replace it.

Well the worst thing that could proabaly happen with that crack is that you'll just blow your bulb. A lot of people get condesation in their lights with no problems with the functionality. If you really have a lot of free time, you could heat up the light in the oven and reseal it with silicone and go over the cracks with a thin layer of silicone on the inside to prevent any moisture temporarily

I would just not use them until you replace it. Yea you can run them and get away with it but you could def short something out and make bigger probs for youself. Just get new ones.

When you get the new ones make sure you get the kit and not the single foglight. The single floglight usually goes for around $180, you can get the kit with both foglights, a stalk, a relay, monuts, new non-rusted bolts, etc. for about $160...deal of the century. Don't forget the antisieze on the bolts..

I bought the foglight kit from JR Nissan a while ago, I don't want to have to buy ANOTHER brand new kit. I guess I could not use them until I buy a new one, which wont be till I get paid...sigh...I thought maybe there was something I could put on the outside to at least temporarily seal it.

Can you get the fog light from a junk yard? check out www.xpel.com for a fog light protection film. I had it on for a few months, ok so far.
