Can I polish my..........

You thought I was going to say....something else you bunch of pervs...:lol

I was wondering anyone has polished your intake? Not you cold air intake, but the big silver intake manifold you see when you open your hood?
Sorry not sure of the technical name....I have seen a few of the cars around here that have had them chromed......
Thought I might give polishing a try....maybe use a dremel or something...
Any advice???

Comments are Welcome

Thanks

It can be done.. with alot of patience and sanding form something rough like 350 or 400 and work your way up to 2000 grit. then you can polish it to a mirror shine. Or you can buy a metal polishing kit from Eastwood metal polishing co. if you got more money to spend and don't have the time to do it manually.

right now im high polishing my stock sawblade wheels. Its a B!TCH!!!! Try polishing something with a smooth surface first to see what your getting yourself into. That is a very hard part to try to polish, and for me the dremel was too rough. PM if you want info on how to do it though. GOOD LUCK.
It looks hot if your take the time to do it right, it can't be rushed.

Check this website, www.smpolishing.com I have never had anything done with them, prices don't seem too bad though.

I wouldn't do it yourself by hand. You will end up wasting time and money to get so so results. It's much easier when you have a floor standing buffer and air tools.
