Heated seat question.

The heated seat on the drivers side only seems to get hot (work) when i lean toward the door (shift weight). I don't have to sit half cheeked on the left side of the seat but it seems like the less pressure on the right half of the seat the more often it will work.

As an electrician by trade i know there is a heating element in there (pirotechnic wire) and even have a splice/repair kit available from a heated tile matt (for a bathroom).

My question is how to take apart the seat and if the heat matt is seperate to the cushion and the leather top.

I tried doing a search but was un able to for some reason.

Any help appreciated.

whats in there is basically just a heating pad. it might be busted, take it to nissan or some other auto repair place and ask them if they can fix it and what they charge.

I was wondering how to fix my heated drivers seat. The light isn't turning on and doesn't heat up but the passanger one is fine. I thought it might be a fuse but the fuse is for both seats. Anyone know anything about this.
