Question, when does the gas empty light come on?

I've had my Max for about a year and it's never come on.
I've been in the redzone before, but the light never seems to turn orange.

Do you think my sensor is out?(is there even a sensor?)
Or maybe it's the lamp, er led, er whatever it is that's illuminating.

Anybody know how to fix it?

 

mines never come on either.

 

The Low gas light is VERY dim, I can barley see when mine comes on. Or maybe your LED is burnt out.

 

It comes on when you are down to 1-2 gallons left. Doesn't come on until after the needle is below E. I don't fill up until mine comes on. Last night I filled her up with 17.56 gallons of 93.

 

Expensive! I never let mine get that low because i can't spend that much on gas

 

mine came on once when i was comnig bakc from the gym i got all scared and though i wasnt gonna make it becouse its more then 20 miles (why do i go to the gym 25 miles away lol dont ask!) but yea i got home and was so relived and i even made it to the gas station...

 

mine works, it gets very red and does turn orange, it is around 2 galls left

 

it comes on when the needle hits E, i always let mine come on and then i fill up. last time i filled it up with 17.9 gallons of 91 (highest in cali) octane.

17.9 x 1.81 = $32 !!! and thats barely good for 280 miles of city driving!!

 

I drove 45 miles last night with the needle on E. I drove 70 mph all the way home to see if I could make it home before the light would come on. The light came on a 1/4 mile before I got to my exit.
When that light does come on there is a scary sense of feeling that you are going to run out of gas.
One time I drove about 20 minutes with the light on before I found a gas station that was open. I was sweatin the whole way.

 

my dad drove about 50 miles with the gas light on, i was gonna **** in my pants, this was like 97 or 98. i am 90% sure it turns on at 2.0 gall left

 

u dont need to worry when the light comes on.when it comes on, u still have 2 gallons left. that is about 38 miles of city driving and 55 miles of highway driving.

 

Mine comes on when the needles on the E. At this point I have around about 10L of petrol left, which equals around 100km of travelling. Heh, even though I know I can travel another 100km, the light still makes me worry, especially when it stops going on and off and just goes solid, lol
