Yah! It'll be interesting to see how bad you get flamed.

A suggestion, do what your member status (what's under your tag) says.

The only proper way to do this is to take a poll from those who have heard all of them. Of course that's not going to happen since most people haven't heard all the intakes. Many people know their intake is loud, but who is to say it is the loudest?

You are the sole reason that Maxima's can't excel into a reputable, fast, good looking car. When I go cruising the only max's I see are dumb@sses like you trying to be as loud and g@y as possible. But, to be loud you can just remove all the intake pieces before the TB. Have fun! LOL.

Belive it or not, my Weapon-R intake is louder than the Injen CAI. When I took my midpipe off, it was about the same volume.

My intake is louder than my exhaust at about 3-4k rpm.

thats messed up guys. I know all of you guys like the sound of your intake. so do I. I know you guys didn't buy it for that extra 3-5hp. It's not a huge difference and you can't feel it. Leave the poor guy alone, he wants to be loud so let him be loud. NO offense to anyone.

All intakes are the same loudness just get a frankencar for like $140.

I have a Frankencar and it is very loud and sounds mean. Im thinking about selling it, its a little too loud for me. I want something quiet but has a low deep growl. I might go with an injen, pr or just back to stock.

I have heard that the homemade hybrid intake (AKA Home Depot intake) makes a lil bit of performance gains but is supposed to be hella loud. Won't cost you more than $15-$17 trust me.... so once you get over this fad you're going through you will still have some money to buy a decent intake......

so if you want something loud go with that.....look in the FAQs or do a serch on yahoo thats how I found out about it.....good luck and try the Home Depot Intake

Darn it ... i couldn't afford that so i was forced to rip the "whistlers" off my NERF football and then super-glue them to my fenders

Damnit, why not just epoxy a NERF whistler inside the intake? Hell, just one in a midpipe will whistle WAY louder than any V1.

Wow. I never thought that asking a question on a forum gave people rights to be rude.

No harm done tho.

I just figured from all the other threads I've read about intakes that the gains are all pretty much the same... I mean, it seems that your going to see an improvment no matter how you do it. So I figured I'd go with the loudest.
I guess it IS the ricer side of me, which I believe everybody has... even if it's just a few grains.

I did think about the problematic scenario of whether or not one person would have been able to hear all the intakes, but I figured a few of you guys might have. I mean, this is the largest Maxima Forum... right?
I just wanted a rough idea.

Anyway, thanks to all who actually said something useful.
I appologize if this is, in fact, a sucky thread... but I had to ask.

Leave him alone guys. Everyone has the right to do what they want to their cars, whether you like it or not. Yeah, it may be ricey having an intake for the sole purpose of being loud, but to each is own. Everyone does what they LIKe to their car, for the purpose of being different, and standing out. This is the same thing he is trying to do, whether it was a method you agree with or not.

It's funny tho, bc in reality you are a ricer scaring off ricers...

I'm thinking most intakes are about the same...as long as you have a midpipe or get rid of the stock restrictive piping..

take a dremel or any sort of drill (hell, a sharpened railroad spike will work), and repeatedly stab the **** out of your entire exhaust. Put huge holes in your muffler, b-pipe, and y-pipe. Then completely remove the intake manifold and duct tape a coffee filter over the intake port. You'll make a lovely sound.

this thread does suck, but like someone (too lazy to scroll back to see who it was) said before, every single person that bashed this guy for wanting his intake to be loud also likes the sound of his own intake.

you wouldn't have it if you didn't, because the gains aren't anything worth spending money on... and if you disagree with that, you're just lying to yourself to justify the money you spent on it.

bottom line... loud, deep, growling intake sounds good. how loud is a matter of preference, but for the most part, there's no intake for a maxima that sounds bad. don't deny that fact for a chance to flame a newbie... get over it already.

Any CAI would be loud, it also depends on the size of the filter too. If you have a small filter its going to be a lot louder
