CF Trunklid?

Why are CF trunklids so hard to find. Especially for a max. I would like to find one or start Fiber Images on making a prototype. I will be getting their hood in the spring and would love a nice lid to match along with my Konig Theory rims. Anyone else who is interested please post. It would definitely be the 97-99 shape. I will atempt to make a contact with them. Also, if anyone is a pioneer of CF prototypes I would definitely spend $350-$400.

well i am looking for a cf trunk lid too and i called around for some prices of the molding and the trunk lid and they said that is would cost $ 1200 and the trunk lid would weight aprox. 30 pounds, so if it came out i would be one of the first ones to get it.

Il take one for a 96, but at 30lbs it better weigh 60lbs stock.

um...hard to find because no one feels the need to get them really. they are incredibly expensive, hard to paint match and stuff... only purpose at all is weight reduction (you could get racing seats for the same ammount of money, it would look cooler, give more result, and probably lose more weight)

You should contact them and see about a CF grill, like the sarona grill but cf.
Hood, grill, and lip would look sweet to me.

Jason Sadler mentioned something about this about a month and a half ago. I bet it is almost finished. I e-mailed him about it but he never responded. I guess this is something he wants to keep to himself. I would be willing to spend about $400 on one also. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
