Output of 1996 Maxima Alternator

Anybody know what it's output is? I'm building a new sound system and don't wanna dim my headlights

(or kill my batt for that matter.)

dont mean to postwhore, but what output does everyone get from the alternator when testing with a voltmeter, I get 13.8 volts.
