Al Bundy needs advice - '96 GXE 238K miles
I now own a '96 GXE with 238K miles. (acquired it in a trade involving an Xbox and 2 Ford Escorts)
It is running great, the only error code stored in the computer was for the knock sensor.
I know that the car needs some preventetive maintenance and I need some advice.
Where do I start?

welcome! start by reading the faq's. also, get yourself a haynes and/or chilton's manual.
there is also a fluids forum in our maintenance section. explore the site a lil and ask questions if you've got any after that.

Fuel filter, air filter, oil, trans fluid & filter (maybe). How are the struts, strut mounts, motor mounts, spark plugs, wheel bearings, brakes?
Change brake fluid, coolant?
You may need to replace the knock sensor, if defective. Does the intake/injectors need cleaning?
