Injen CAI, I am confused.

I am pretty set on buying an Injen CAI, and plan to purchase it from Custommaxima soon when they get in stock next week. That said, http://www.custommaxima.com/Injen.php lists the 1995 - 1996 separate from the 1997 - 1999.

Normally that wouldnt concern me, expecially because I wouldnt know any better, but upon searching ebay, I came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2449000410

this seller (who seems very reputable in selling Injen intakes) claims that the intakes are the same from 1995- 1998.5, and from 1998.5-1999, they are different (different part numbers).

Now I am confused because I do not know of any 1998.5 Maximas, the only half-year noted Maximas I know of are the 1999.5 SE-Limited. I assume Custommaxima is correct in their listing because I do know the 1995-1996 are slightly different from the 1997-1999, but I just wanted to clarify.

So I am asking those who have a 1997 Maxima, and an Injen CAI, what is your Part Number, and where did you buy it?

Thanks,
_wisky

please make sure they have it before u order, i've heard tons of stories where u order, they out of stock and it takes ages to get your stuff. If they are in stock, its cool. The harnesses on the 95-96 vs 97-99 are different i think. I dont think 95-96 have an AMB temp sensor? i dont know, something like that...but i believe they are different.

my max is one of those that needs a differentiation between the 1998.5 cutoff. to www.injen.com and just look up your part based on your year. look on your door (if i remember correctly) and it will tell you when the car got off the assembly line.

The Injen homepage is even worse as far as confusion goes.

http://www.injen.com/nissan.html

Does anyone here have a 1997 Maxima with an Injen CAI? Whats your part number? I dont understand why its only the 4th gens that have so much confusion.

RD1925 Maxima SE, GXE, SLE 6/94-6/98
RD1930 Maxima SE, GXE, SLE 7/98-99
RD1935 Maxima SE, GXE, SLE 2000-01
RD1940 Maxima SE, GXE, SLE 6 Speed and Automatic 2002

You will need to get RD(Race Division) 1925, which is identicle to what I have. I'll even tell you how to install it once you get it because the black and white instructions I received with mine sucked.

I installed the Injen from my 96 max into my 99. the difference is the air temp sensor. All I did was silicone the air temp into the pipe and it works fine.
