Warped rotor- Fixable or no?

Today I put on my stock wheels and overtightened the lug nuts and warped my rotor. Now my tire wobbles from the front passenger side and it is bothering the hell out of me and is also making my steering wheel shake violently. I was wondering if this is fixable without replacing any parts or do I have to replace something. Thanx any help is appreciated.

Have your rotors turned?

Sounds like more than just a bent rotor to me. When mine were warped they never shook the entire car.

Mine were warped also. It definitely needs replacement. I agree with infinitiblast. Sounds like something else is wrong unless they are warped like bananas. Warped rotors are usually noticed most while breaking hard at high speeds.

If a rotor is warped, it will only wobble when the brakes are applied and the pads make contact with said rotor. It sounds to me that the wheel is not on straight. Remove the wheel, and be sure that it is properly seated before tightening any of the nuts. Also, are you using the correct tightening sequence?

It's not possible to warp a rotor by overtightening your lug nuts, and the previous poster is right if your rotor were warped it would only be apparent under braking. It sounds to me like your wheel/tire combo is unbalanced or that you have a bent wheel.

Actually lug nut tightening is a major cause of warped rotors. Any differentiation in tightening can cause the rotors to warp under average braking. Today's brakes operate at much higher temps than they use to, hence the movement to Ceramic even for all late model Ford vehicles.
