Hitachi (sp?) Boost Sensor

I saw this today on my 98 Max and was Wondering what this actually does?

I seen the same thing on other peoples maxes but for some reason I dont have it on mine. I have a 95 gxe 5 spd.

Your 95 is pre ODBII.

The boost sensor measures atmospheric pressure and manifold absolute pressure. A valve switchs the source to give that sensor the desired measurement the ECU wants.

My 96 has an OBDII why wouldnt the 95 have one

I thought the discussion was ended a while ago. All 4th Gen Maximas are OBDII.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

you are wrong, some 95's were made in 94 and early 95; thus have OBDI
