my parking break light wouldn't go off...

yesterday, the light stayed on eventhough the brake was all the way down. It stopped today. Is there some sort of swtch that keeps getting stuck?

Have you checked to see if your fluid was low?

Even if it doesn't look low, it can cause the light to come on. On my wife's old '96 the light came on and the fluid was right in the middle of the max line and the low line. I filled it to the max line and the light went off.

There is a floating device in the brake fluid resorvoir. During my last brake job I filled the reservoir and the light was still on, even after pumping the pedal a few times. I then remembered the floating thingy. It was stuck at the bottom, I reached it there and nudged it loose and it came up to the top, and the light went off.
