It's those two little screws in the back of the ECU that are giving me troubles. I can't even see the screws for one thing. I go by feel, but it's also so tight in there, I can't get them out. I got the instructions from Cheston's site, but I don't have the rachet type screwdriver or whatever it's called. Is there anyway I can get the darn screws out more easily? I need help!

I had the same problem. None of my tools would fit behind to loosen the screws. So what I did was go to the hardware store and buy an offsett rachet screwdriver(they're real small, ask person at hardware store) for around 13 dollars. That tool made removeing all the screws real easy.

Michael,
I've got a screwdriver kit with a rachet handle and screwdriver bits if you want to borrow them.

BTW, did you get the A/T cooler installed?

Keith, if you don't mind, I would like to borrow your screwdriver kit. I need to remove the ECU by next week, that's when I'm going to send it in. Let me know, so I can come by your place to pick up the screwdriver kit. And no, I haven't got the cooler installed yet. I'll do that when I get the VB upgrade, I probably just bring to some place to get the both of them done. I'm just not sure when I can get the VB mod yet.

jmax1: I bought a similiar offset screwdriver, but it didn't work. Although, it wasn't a rachet type. I tried to put in a screw bit and then just use my finger to somehow loosen the screws. It didn't work because it's kind of hard to grip the bit and I guess I didn't have enough finger power.

Michael,
I usually work Mon-Fri 8-5. I'm home by 5:45. I have a project due Monday, so I may have to work this weekend; if I go in, I'll leave it with my wife. Give me a call tonight.
