disconnected resonator
disconnected resonator
I disconnected the pipe from underneath the snorkel, that leads to the resonator just to see what would happen. I started the engine...revvedd a bit and it sounded the same....so i took it for a spin and it still sounded the same...isnt the intake supposed to be louder w/o the resonator?
I tried that, ran it for a few months... At idle it was barely noticable, but you can hear a substantial increase in intake noise under load, accerating etc.. I ended up putting it back together during the summer, because the hole that's left in the plumbing is pointed right at the radiator.. I was losing 2-5 mpg.. I was guessing it was caused by the hot intake. Although too quiet, when connected it takes air from above the radiator under the hood, so at least your getting cold (quiet) air..

I just took of the bottom half of the airbox and secured the K&N Filter with zip-ties. I didn't know what to cover the 2nd Resonators pipet with....what exactly did you use. I sadly have electrical tape and it looks gawd-awful. PLease help a guy out...
i bought a can of hobby shop paint ($3.50) a long time ago to red out my taillights. u can buy it at any hobby shop.. the color was candy apple red.. used teh paint to paint the tails.. and the cap for my 2nd resonator. i took off the lil red sticker after i took the pic on my web page. so it looks pretty clean. your tape may look awful..but functionality wise, it works.jsut go to a hobby shop in the area and ask if they have a leftover spray paint can cap from an old paint can...
