Which Shop Manual Should I Buy?
I just purchased a 1995 GXE with 102,000 miles. It's a great car. Previously, I owned a 1981 810 wagon. I bought the Nissan factory Shop Manual for the 810. I was going to buy the factory manual for the '95 Maxima until I found out it cost over $100. I believe that Haynes and Chilton also publish Maxima manuals. What manuals do you folks use and recommend.
Happy Holidays.

There is no substitute for the Nissan service manual. The Haynes or Chilton will show you most of the stuff you need to do, albeit not as in-depth as you would want. It's up to you, but if you really want to work on your car get the Factory one.

My Chilton manual ****es me off more than it helps. The manual covers the 93-98 Maximas. Most of the pictures show 3rd gen parts, which don't help me. Sometimes they explain a location/procedure without saying which generation it works on. Sometimes the location/procedure is completely different on my 4th gen.
I am thinking about throwing my Chilton manual in the closet or something and buying a FSM. Even if it is $100+.
