ATTN drop resistor people: how hard does your 2nd-3rd shift?
my first gear shift like a **** with the drop resistor, but 2nd-3rd doesn't seems to shifts hard at all. it shifts somewhat close to stock. i still see auto lag from 2nd-3rd. my 3rd-4th shifts harder than 2nd-3rd... is it just me?
how about yours?

Yeah, I am but I'm experiencing the same thing as you... 2-3 just isnt very hard at all. I think my tranny slips a bit under WOT as well, cause even 1-2 isn't exactly earth shattering.

under WOT 1-2 is hard, like BAM! 2-3 is quicker than stock just nothing harsh. 3-4 i dont know. ive been in a max equipped with a VB and under WOT 1-2 is the same, but i dont know about 2-3 and 3-4. Jime knows all about this stuff. Its a power thing...and he had a great post about it since he runs a 150 shot on a drop resistor and other wise stock drivetrain. Also VQ35 maximas dont benifit as well from the DR like the VQ30 maximas. Its something along the lines of more power means longer shifts.

At WOT the tranny will shift very slow no matter what. Now, to experience the diiference put the resistor on a switch. With it off the 1-2 will sometimes chirp tires at part throttle, big jerk at WOT. The 2-3 will be much quicker than stock and the 3-4 will still take a while but that doesn't matter because if your trying to go fast you should have the OD off until 125MPH.
