Couple of minor tranny questions

I have had a great time w/ my new max but I have a few questions. I know a prolly have the new car paranoia but the tranny seems to kick a bit in the morning when I pull out of my driveway and it shifts for the first time. Anybody know a possible cause? Also, the overdrive shifts in and out going 50-ish. I turn the O/D off to fix this but is there a way to up the RPM's/Speed at which it shifts to overdrive? Thanks to anybody who can help me
**I have read this ENTIRE forum looking for the tranny question but I couldn't find an answer.**

These kinds of problems are often also caused by a cold car. Don't know if this is the case here though. I know my manual is smoother once it warms up.

Our trannys shift harsh when there cold. It's normal. Your shift in and out of O/D doesn't sound normal. Your car shouldn't go into O/D unless the tranny is up to operating temp. Perhaps the tranny temp sensor is shot.

Thanks. I'll just take it easy on her in the cold mornings.
