Budget

I'm planning on buying a y-pipe and I got a question. What are the methods of paying Budget for y-pipe?

They are a professional company. Any form of payment is fine. It just depends on how long you want to wait.

you can but remember they have to see if the check can go through before they ship off the pipe. That could take up to a couple of extra days. A couple of extra days of waiting for you. I used a credit card/debit card and it got here in under a week.

I LOVE MY BUDGET!!!!!!

If you don't want to use your card then it would be quicker and safer to send a money order.

does the budget y affect emissions output in any way with removing the 3rd cat? does it affect exhaust tone at all?

some say that it makes the tone a little deeper. If you removed your cat then you won't pass reguardless. The y has like 2 pre-cats on it. Not too sure about emissions though, it might depend on where you are located.

when i ordered mine, i was worried about giving them my creditcard # through email (which is usually how they do it) so i just called and gave it over the phone(very cool people). dont write a check, it could take 2-5 days extra for it to clear, if you dont want to use credit, just send a written money order. faster than check, safer than cash.

A y-pipe is for "offroad" use only. It gets rid of the two pre-cats which are installed on the y-pipe to reduce emissions during the time it takes the main catalytic converter to warm up and start working. People here in California are able to pass emissions test with their aftermarket y-pipes in place, the thing is that you have to let the catalytic converter get hot first, and then take it to get smoged. If you would take it there without letting it get hot first, you will fail.

The exhaust tone will be a little deeper, with a slight rumble to it. Very subtle though.

you call them up, give em your CC#, and they charge you based on whatever the exchange rate is for that day. Much easier than messing with a check or money order.
