Just a random question... how would you know if a transmission mount was bad/going bad? (symptoms)

I guess you would feel the car jerk alot thru gears. But since your car is pretty new and doesn't have alot of miles on it I dough it would be going bad right now. What's your symptoms?

only time it jerks is when it's cold.. once it's warmed up its perfect. When cold it has a hard 1-2 shift, and once the car hits 35mph it has a firm shift into O/D. I was just wondering because I found a random transmission mount in my car when I bought it. I had the car checked out a while back because of the rough cold shifts and the stealership described it as a "positive shift" and not to worry about it, nothing was wrong.

My car does that too, but it's only when it's cold and it's really really really small jerking, I wouldn't worry about it. I seen worse 2 of my friends had cars with really messed up mounts. It felt like it was their first time driving stick, even though the cars were stick

My transmission mount is on the driver side of the car. Isn't the axis of rotation parallel to the driveshafts?

Wouldn't it be a better idea to check out the mounts towards the front and rear of the car (left and right of the engine)? That's what PlaceRacing told me when I asked about tranny mounts. It would sound like a good idea just to fill all the mounts.
