i tried opening my trunk today and it just wouldnt go. i have a 96 se with the power trunk option. when i hit the buton, i hear a clicking in the trunk like its supposed to be working. but it doesnt pop the trunk. what do you think could be the problem? thanks

umm check your fuse panel.

you hear the click so teh power is working. Your trunk is probly stuck close. Use your muscles.

hey its fixed. i just opened it with my key and low and behold there was a switch. my guess it is a safety switch so it cant be opened from the inside. under the locking mechanism inside the trunk there is a little metal piece that can be slid up and down. something in my trunk probably slid it down. peace. thanks for the help guys.

i was just about to reply to you with that answer, but be so happy that the forum helped you fast, it took me almost 3 months to get my trunk to open after a little misshap when it went crashing though my rear windsheild, that stupid little switch was the root of all my problems and it look a small hispanic man named moses and an led flashlight to find the problem, which this thread got started sooner!
