Where is headlight fuse?

Hello all,

I have no doubt this question is addressed elsewhere, but I just recently registered and can't seem to search ("You don't have permission..."). What gives?

In any case, I have a '98 SE almost at 90K that has given me no problems whatsoever until now. Within a week, both headlights & fog lights have gone dark. Before I had it serviced, I wanted to replace the fuses, but the fuse box doesn't list them. Can someone tell me which they are and what size? I have an assorted box of them.

And why wouldn't they be labeled? Does that mean the fuses should only be handled by the dealer??

Thanks a lot,
Carleen

Umm, according to the auto parts salesman (and their computer), the headlight/fog light fusers are in the passenger compartment. Are you implying that's not correct?

Thanks,
Carleen

If I'm not mistaken, inside the car, there's a fuse marked "tail lights". It's a 7.5 amp fuse, and it controls the tail lights, fog lights, and corner lights. I didn't know it controlled the head lights. I know the head light fuses are located under the hood on the drivers side. Check the tail light fuse inside the car. I hope this helps, and good luck

Thanks, I did find it. It actually is under the hood like the previous poster said. Unfortunately, those fuses were all fine, which leads me to another question that I'll post under a different thread.

If you have something to check all the fuses with do that, a multimeter or something.
