i use my digi camera and record a video. thats the best/easiest way to get sound on the comp.

and also, i wouldnt waste your money on a cheap ebay intake. i bought one and it was so loud, and i think it decreased my power so i put the stock box back on. just my opinion, but you should save for cold air instead!

Sound isn't everything in an intake, you also want to look at the performance aspect of it. An intake may be really loud, while it loses power.

I would be careful of what you get from ebay, especially car parts. I know a lot of people have the Bomz intake that you get from ebay and it is fine...but the quality probably isn't as good as Place Racing, etc. Just my opinion.

I"m gonna have to go with ben. I have an ebay intake on right now. They are pretty decent but you have to watch out with the product that they ship to you. Some of the parts aren't up to par with standards of say frankencar or injen. For example, I had to replace the intake cone filter that I got with my CAI from ebay. The one that came with the CAI had a whole in it after a week of use.
Those intakes that are more expensive are products that were researched and produced with high quality materials. Others are just imatations. If i were you I would just get any ebay intake (CAI) and just replace the filter with a K&N. Just my 2 cents.

All intakes are pretty much the same. I don't think you will be able to feel the extra .23534 hp that the PRCAI gives you through research over the the BomZ on eBay. It's the same with FSTBs, the only reason to pay the insane amount for the Stillen is the name and the quality, but it does the same job as any generic strut brace.

Like takentomax said just replace the generic filter they give you with a K&N, that's what I did.

The noise is from the midpipe...you replaced the stock restrictive parts that were used and researched by Nissan to let the engine operate as quiet as possible with a straight pipe. The filter really has nothing to do with it.
