Its ben realy cold in Ct and my car fells like it has more power, is this the effect you guys with CAI get cause i have a short ram and its nice in the cold weather. When i floor first gear the tires just break loose , its probuly cause the roads are cold but the car fells like it has alot more power in general. What do you guys think?

I have an Injen, and yes, I can easily break traction in first. The other day the high temperature hardly got above 10 degrees. My intake loves it as much as I do.
After driving for a long time, I can open the hood and slap my hand on the intake manifold and leave it there as long as I want. The other engine parts are hot, but the 10 degree air keeps the manifold from getting really hot. I also notice my coolant temp gauge goes down a little if I floor it a lot!

Yes the car has more power in the cold. Cold air is more dense and that means more air is getting to your engine which then gives more fuel in turn causing more power. The tires are also breaking loose easier because of the cold. The rubber gets harder in the cold and traction is worse.
Having a CAI is not like producing the effects of 0 degree weather.

I have a modified air intake (Frankencar) and yes you are exactly right.
The colder the air coming in, the more power your engine will produce.
I'm in NH and its -5 and not going to get over 6 degrees today.
On really hot days and I'm been driving for awhile.
My engine pickup- sucks ***.
But, on cold days like this- It takes off like a white boy in Harlem.
I'm thinking of going with the cold air intake- I've seen some cheap ones on ebay and I'm still thinking about it. I'm just running the short air intake from Franken car for now.
Also, if you live in a snowy area like me- I got studded snow tires, love em'
