Not sure if this is usually the case. I have a 96 and just replaced the original battery last summer. But, I'm not sure if I really needed to because I still use that battery in an old skid-steer. So I had at least 6 or 7 years on that battery.

My Maxima came with a PANASONIC battery. Lasted for about 3.5 years. Replaced with an Optima Yellow Top.

during the last couple of days during the deep freeze i have had to have a jump twice. i don't know if it is the cold weather that is draining my battery or it is just that time to go for a new battery. i'm going to try and see if it starts today..
also, where and how much can i find an optima yellow top?
