Painted the coil pack cover. AGAIN!

Yeah. I got bored. Pulled the coil pack cover off and painted it again. What can I say. Extra paint laying around. It was free. Why not. Oh, and if you don't like it, I don't care. It's my car.

how did u manage to cover the middle stripe cause im planing to paint my also. did u use tape or what, cause its kind of hard to get it perfect on the edge, i might just loose my pacience and paint the whole thing and that would look gay.

nice color, Ive tried that gunmetal once but it didnt hold up well to the heat for some reason, its weird, its the hi-temp engine enamel too. Ive painted mine over 6 times already and finally settled on silver hammered crackled finnish

Dude it looks awsome. Now all you need is a little more red and it'll look real good under the hood.

Mine was that color when I first painted it. I've since painted it the same color as my car.

Here's the deal. What ever color you want the stripe to be (Mine was obviously white - to match the car), paint the whole cover that color first. Let it dry really good. Once it's dry, get the blue masking tap from WalMart. Get the wide stuff. Put the tape over the stripe. On the edges, get an exacto-knife (aka Box cutter) andslowly go around the edge of the stripe. Since it's a different height, you'll be able to put the edge of the blade against it thus making a perfect cut every time. Once its taped off, repaint the piece the color that you want the large part to be. Once it's dry, you can go back and pull the tape off the stripr. That's it. You're done. I sharpied in my letters BTW, we'll see how that lasts.
