What is a good alarm system for a 97 maxima? I don't really know anything about them. Are they even worth it or can they be bypassed easily?

If you want good quality, it's going to cost a little more. I would look at Clifford or Viper.

ok, i probably would go with clifford or viper since those are 2 brands i have heard of. anyone personally have either or these brands in their car? also, where do i buy a car alarm from? ebay doesnt seem to have many and i cc or bb doesnt have any online either.

 

I have a Clifford RS3.5x in my Max. Best Buy sells them for $499 installed I believe (I installed mine myself - since that's what I do, and it was $140 my cost).Circuit City carries Viper. They have similar models for the same price. Neither company has their security systems on their websites. You can find out alot on www.directed.com

*edit* I used to have an Avital 4300 in my car before I switched it out for the 3.5 - that worked very well also - it just wasn't 2 way. Most DEI products are all the same, i.e. Clifford, Viper, Avital, Python, Sidewinder, Hornet - all the same.
