well

Thats why I was asking because someone said to wait two weeks before geting an alighnment and I also bought focal F5 rims and I dont want to put them on untill I am sure that the alighnment is good to go because those 225/45zr17 tires are soft and expensive so should I wait a week or two or just get the alighnment asap and put on the rims as soon as I get the alighnment or wait a little bit

i know there are answers out there, but i figured that you guys would already know them and could help me out....

how much do the springs drop the car? does the ride become punishing? i would like to get rid of the ugly gap in the wheel well, but i dont want to be scraping bottom.

how much are the springs? is h&r the ones to go with, or are there others? how much to install? cna you install by yourself?

i never looked very much springs, but now, i am thinking that i want them... oh, and i would stay with the factory 16inch se rims.

thanks for any info.

I would say put the rims on and get an alignment as soon as you can. My alignment didn't feel off after I lowered my car with H&R's, but when I did get it aligned a week later, it was pretty off. If you want a good deal, get a lifetime alignment (all you need is front wheel alignment). The rear is not adjustable on 4th and 5th gen Maximas. In fact, the only adjustable factor is front toe.

RYAN93SE: my car and your car are the spitting image of each others!! Same rims/suspension...

As for the H&R question, i ve had mine for a year now and the car didnt settle more than a 1/4", if that! To me it looks the same as the day i picked it up at the shop when i got her lowered. But i must say i love the ride compared to the Eibach/Tokico setup. Dont worry about scraping cause i never do unless i pull straight into a curb or steep a$$ driveway. And as for the alignment i had that done the day i had the car lowered to avoid any problems.

yeah I think I should go ahead and get alignment too. It's been 2 weeks since my install. They've gotten a little softer I think in two weeks, or maybe I'm just more use to the new springs.

H&R guys

Did you add any camber bolts for adjustment or anything?

And why did you opt for 17x7.5 wheels instead of 17x8?

My H&R's

I just installed mine with OgreDave three days ago. I haven't gotten a chance to get the wheels aligned, but I do have a lifetime wheel alignment I bought for $120. I'm happy with the performance, but hitting railroad tracks really sucks with the Tokicos. As far as scraping goes, I was scraping my front lip before I lowered it. I plan on getting slightly larger tires and maybe using springs spacers if I have to.

You don't need camber bolts because the drop isn't enough to require them.
As for rims, not all rims come in 17x8, some come in 17x7.5, it depends on the manufacturer.
