Importing an US maxima in Canada

I recently bought a turbo max (AZproducer) and the canadian custom is giving me a hard time with the modification needed to be legal here. I want it to be done in the US before I buy it and they can't give me the things to be done. They exige me to bring it here and do it over here. Anyone Know what need to do? or know anything about this?...

Thanks

Umm Canada is a lot less restrictive about emmisions due to lower population, atleast thats what my freinds up north tell me, They shouldnt give you any trouble, I dont know why they are, and what trouble are they giving you? Explain a little more

Welll, the thing is, they wont tell me what the emmisions requirement are. They want me to bring it here and test it here, but if the maxima doesnt pass the test they are gonna make me ship it back to US and lose all my money. If they could tell me I would test it in the US before I buy it. So are the emmission less restrictive?? Considering the max is turbo, would that cause a problem? They told me the US maxima doesnt have running lights(when you drive in day time), is that expensive to put on?

maybe you could just wire up your corner lights to come on when you start the car.. that would be pretty much the same as DRLs

Any auto electrical guy worth his salt could do this in an hour with some primary wire and 2 SPST relays.

If the Max can pass emissions in the States, you won't have ANY problem getting it safetied here in Canada. Like others said, emissions restrictions are much more strict in US so if it passes there it'll pass here. Just have whoever your'e buying it from pass emmissions in the states and it'll pass here.
