My front driver side door does not lock when I hit the remote.
It makes a wierd noise and the lights blink as usual but it does not lock.
If you hit the remote 1 or 2 times more...it will lock (but there is no noticeable "locking" sound).

Ive tried locking and unlocking the car manaully with the key to see if that somehow would correct the problem...it hasnt.

The only possible cause of this that i can think of is a couple of days ago my brother went to open the front passenger side door at the same time I was unlocking the doors... the locks made a "grrr" sound.

Or maybe the extremely cold weather we have been having...?
I dont know.

Anybody have any ideas/advice??

c'mon help the guy .
will man i haven't experince tha with the max but i also have a town car that when thru that and it was the motor goin bad .good luck with it

i had a simliar problem. only a tow truck f*cked mine up slim jimming the door. take of your door panel and find out! mine had one of the thick stell wires off the little plastic clips that make it function from the look to the door handle and inside the car. hard to explain but i took off my door panel and found the problem in 1 min. not to hard, check it out! what ever you do dont force it close manually, might brake more things
