How to go about dyeing the passenger-side airbag?

My future plans this spring is to convert by tan dash into black. I loved the way the 90-93 Accords had black dashes with tan interior, IMO, it looked great. The problem is how to go about dyeing the passenger-side airbag? I remember someone on the .org did a tan-to-black interior project and mentioned how he dyed the airbag. how would i go about doing this?

visit my cardomain page...
the very last page

i converted my 97 tan interior to black...

i bought special interior color dye.. it was called "G2" or something.. it's a spray that holds like a mothaf-.. you get the point.. it held up great for the time i had the car with it painted which was quite long.. the new owner is still driving around with it and i haven't heard about it pealing or chipping.. it looks like it was made black...

edit:

here is the place i got it from:

http://www.fastvws.com/acatalog/FAST...ssories_1.html

scroll down the page..

it's the G2 interior styling spray. Get the black one.

it didn't hold up on the e-brake handle and the fold down plastic piece in the skii-opening by the back seat.. but it is great for the dashboard.

It took him and his dad roughly 10 hours total, and that included installing the leather covers on the seats, and re-upholstering the headliner. Only the airbag cover is painted.

There is a write-up on the cardomain page

hey did you have to remove the airbag cover to dye it? or did you just spray paint it on while it was still attached to the dash? thanks!
