Has there ever been a recall on O2 sensors??

My 99.5 has got is first O2 sensor problem on me already. The rear heated one. Well, what gives? My 95 has had 4 or 5 and they seem to occor every 15,000 or so miles, like clockwork. I just clear the code and it comes back a thousand or so miles later.

What is up with this?? I cant belive Ive personally had this issue so many times. Has anyone else had this issue as much as I have??

At least its a quick 15 min fix I can do myself after doing a few of them

No recall. O2 sensors won't have recalls cause them breaking CAN be the drivers fault. If you're running bad gas or running lean/rich that will mess up the sensor.

i thought the dealer said there was a recall on the o2 sensors for my 96 max. unfortunately, I had mine replaced before the recall and I didn't want to go through all the bs to get my refund.

There is a recal for the EVAP system I believe but it's only for some 96 models. Yeah they do replace the O2 sensors but only if your VIN is within the affected range. Sorry I forgot to mention this before.

hmm i have a 96, is it ever too late to claim the recall, and do you have to be the original owner?

Recalls don't expire, at least I think they don't. Just call 1-800-nissan1. You don't have to be the original caller. As a matter of fact when I called they updated all the info so that I was listed as the owner.
