Winshield Washer Nozzle

Hi,

I've got a 99 Maxima and for the longest time my passenger side washer nozzle seems to be low in pressure. It hasn't bothered me much until today.

Has anyone had this problem before? Or do you know what might be causing it?

I was thinking of replacing them with a fan-type of spray like the ones on newer cars. They cover more surface with less liquid. Can we get those or any other nozzles on After-market? I know the manufacturer is Bowles Fluidics Corp. but they do not sell or deal with individual consummers.

Thanks,

How do you figure it has low pressure? If it's spraying lower than the other one, just take a needle and straighten it out. It even mentions this in the manual I believe. My passanger one almost sprays on my roof.

Make sure that the hose is not getting crushed between the hood and engine bay. Thats what happened to mine.

You can aim the nozzles with the needle as well.

I know but it seems to work better this way. I reaimed the other one so that it sprays a bit higher too.

Update

Thank for your responses.

I say that it has a lower pressure because the jet stream seems weaker than the other one.

I just heard from the people from Bowles Fluidics Corp. and they said that Nissan will have their products on 2004 models of the Titan, Quest, Maxima and Murano. They are currently investigating the possibility of making an after-market product but it will depend on the demand possibilities.

Can we run a quick survey on how many might be interested in more efficient washer nozzles? Like I said, they spray in a fan/mist pattern so it covers more surface with less fluid and isn't affect by wind/highway speeds and doesn't blind you from the road. I know this because I saw the product on a new Lexus.

So how many might be interested?

None. Sorry but that is a waste of their time. Do people actually buy that kind of stuff? I mean I know they like the lighted nozzles and stuff but that is just too funny. Aslo people who use their windshield nozzles on the highway should get tickets. At those speeds that stuff just sparays everyone behind the car.

Actually,

That's what it's suppose to prevent. The new nozzles are not lighted, they just work better. It's not a stream of liquid squirting that may spray the car behind you.

this is ridiculous.....

1. yes, mick there is an aftermarket non-lighted nozzle that sprays a fan-pattern of washer fluid. no, i don't know who sells then, you'll have to search. Worse comes to worse, buy LED washer nozzles, don't plug them in, and paint them to the color of your car.
2.no matter what type of nozzle you have, at highway speeds the wind will blow any fluid around. Look at what happens when someone spits out heir window.
3. Yes it sucks when someone sprays their windshield on the highway. Especially after you've just cleaned your windows or spent the day cleaning your car. That's life, deal with it.

Sheesh...........
