bose system + cold weather

is it normal for the lcd screen to sometimes remain off for a period of time (10-20 minutes) after the car is started? it will come back on suddenly after this amount of time, and has only happened to me a few times (i live in wisconsin). however, i was in TX for a month, and didn't encounter the problem once. is my system going bad, or have others experienced this?

The radio display? That happened to me on my 1993 max and it was just the resistors on the LCD display going bad. You can pick up one at a junkyard somewhere or jsut get an aftermarket headunit.

The same thing happens to me but is worst in cold weather. In cold weather the volume control has a mind of it's own. I can't turn it up or down. It does what it wants. IT FU<KING ****ES ME OFF. Most of the time when this stuff happens, i just wait for the radio to warm up (radio stops acting like a baby) so i don't have to put it with this shiit.
