Wow, the Maxima is really good in the snow

This is my first winter driving and I just drove home in a couple inches of snow (i live in nj) and near me they havent even plowed yet. theres this one hill where when it snows, its almost impossible to get up, but my max took it without even skidding sideways. i part of it to the tires, continental tires, very good. but i did awesome driving in all the other snowy areas, even drove fast, the Maxima is awesome in the snow...wow

Mine has done great in the snow. I don't know if its so much the car as it is the Tires and the Driver though.

Def has nothing to do with the car other than FWD and RWD. It's all about the drivers and tires

I think it is pretty good in the snow. But tires do play a role. Of course alot of the Maximas have 205 or 215 mm tires on 15 inch rims, which are probably pretty good for snow.

No matter how good it is in the snow, take it easy, some roads are unpredictable, I dont wanna see another max get in an accident

Its the tires

I have some ****ty no name brand tires that skid all over the place even in the rain, and they have plenty of tread left.

My max sucks in the snow. You probably have snow tires.

Mine is fine on RE950's from Bridgestone. They are all season tires and I get around just fine as long as its less then like 6" of snow then my drop gets in teh way.

in comparison to the benz I used to drive (rwd), the maxima is a blessing in the snow.

still sucks coming away from a stop because of all the torque... but once it gets going, traction is decent and turns aren't a problem as long as I take it easy.

(new ContiExtremeContact tires on 17" wheels)

Traction sucks.
17's on falkens 225/45/17 all high performence season. Lower on eibachs.
I don't drive her if there is ANY SNOW on the ground. Just NO Trac... dissapointed in the tires.
