intake manifold

intake manifold

anyone have any information on the intake manifold kit that courtesy nissan is selling its suppose to give you 30 hp gain is this true, what exactly does this mod do?

it doent give you that much HP, it maintains it all the way to redline

Basically it opens up shorter runners at above ~5k rpm and everyone knows that shorter runners at higher rpm gives better hp. As far as the HP gain its mainly prevents the high rpm losses inherent in the lowend torquey stock intake manifold so at 6500 your hp is ~175w/MEVI instead of ~150w/USIM NA of course. Boosted these number could be even more exaggerated.

I wanted to get one.. but $600 is just alittle too much to pay. Isn't this more beneficial on auto maximas then sticks?
