I dont know how to explain this, but I have a 1997 auto trans...and the lights on the "P" "N" "D" "R" "1" "2" dont light up when i turn the lights of the car on...whats going on here????????????

 

underneath there is a 194 bulb, it probably burnt out. To take it out you have to take out the gear shift trim (around the shifter) and remove I think 4 bolts. Then you can pull that entire piece out. Underneath is a "twist-in" type base that the 194 bulb is in, just replace it.
