Hey my friend has a 240sx, and he recently replaced the clutch. He went past the break in point, and now we started beating on it and it starts slipping when you really step on it.

My question would adjusting the clutch pedal, and bleeding the system would help?

 

Maybe he didnt break it in right?

 

break-in period is 500 miles right? yeah...maybe he should go easy on it for another 500 and see what happens...might change!

 

if he already went wild on it, and it is slipping, it wasn't broken in properly. what type of clutch is it?

 

Well he drove it slow for about 500 miles, and the clutch is ACT stage 1 so it's an OEM replacment.

 

So would adjusting the clutch pedal, and bleeding the system help?

 

try it, it may help. act stage 1 is not an oem replacement.

 

my brother has a spec stage II in his sr20det s13 and it slipped until he adjusted the clutch engagement.
