cold idle circuit (plunger)

cold idle circuit (plunger)

i need to know how to adjust the cold idle circuit (plunger) any body know how to do this ? thanks

The mark on the fast idle cam should be in line with the center of the cam follower pin when the engine is cold. You may need to clean the cam to see the scribe mark thats stamped on the side.

No, actually it's very easy. Just find the plunger under the throttle body, it's down and slightly to the right. Follow the linkage from it and you'll see how it works. The Haynes Shop manual has a nice picture of it.

i just bought a chilton manual but couldn't find anything. is the cold idle circuit the same as the idle air control valve?
